PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company has announced eight hours power suspension on Saturday (today) and Sunday in Peshawar areas.

According to a statement issued here on Friday, the power supply will remain suspended from 132KV Jamrud Grid Station on Saturday (today) and Sunday from 8am to 4pm.

The areas where the consumers will face inconven-ience include Regi Model Town, Karkhano, Kacha Garhi and Hayatabad-2.

Besides, the Pesco teams cut of f 65 illegal power connecdons and recovered Rs1.86 million from defaulters during raids in Mardan and Bannu circles. As many as 15 people were arrested for power pilferage and 19 tampered meters were removed from different premises.

The power company warned the people to stop pilferage as power theft had been causing financial losses and affecting the distribution system.
