File tracking system in govt offices sought

KARAK: Tanzeem-iAsataza Pakistan, Karak chapter, has demanded introduction of file tracking system in government offices for the facilitation of government employees and the people and claimed that they had been facing hardships in this regard.
The demand was made in a meeting of Tanzeem-iAsataza held here on Friday with its leader Khairullah Hawari in the chair. Members of the body and other teachers attended the meeting.
The participants said that a routine file took months in clearance because ofred tape.
They said that with the introduction of file tracking system every employee would be updated about the location and stage of file clearance.
They said that the curse of bribes would also come to an end with the introduction of this system.
The participants noted that all employees, particularly pensioners and females, were visiting the offices on daily basis to know about the status of their files, resulting in wastage of their precious time.
They demanded that the file tracking system should be introduced without any delay to facilitate the employees.
TAXES REJECTED: Traders here have rejected the new taxes imposed by the tehsil municipal administration, Karak, and said that their problems should be resolved before any such step.
The traders observed token strike in Sabirabad Bazaar here on Friday and held a protest meeting in the city.
Addressing the meeting, the traders president of Sabirabad Bazaar, Jalil Khattak, and others said that the traders had been facing problems such shortage of drinking water in the markets.
They said that the main bazaar and drains of the city had not been cleaned by the concerned department despite collection of taxes.
Meanwhile, an agreement was signed on Friday between the works department of Khushal Khan Khattak University, Karak, and a contractor to launch work on the academic block of the university.
