Lower Dir police arrest robbers, seize cash, goods

LOWER DIR: The police arrested a three-member gang allegedly involved in multiple thefts targeting hardware and stationery shops in the limits of Munda police station here on Saturday.
The suspects, including Sohail alias Babu Khan, Ilyas alias Peeray, and Farman, were apprehended in an operation led by SHO Aqal Ameen Khan under the supervision of DSP Jandol Aleem Khan.
Police recovered a weapon used in an attempted murder, Rs427,000 in cash, stolen goods, and a motorcycle purchased with stolen money. The accused were also presented to the media. Further investigationis ongoing.
Separately, a man, identified as Jannat Gul of Ghowara Banda, died after falling from a rock in the hills near Samarbagh. His body was shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, where doctors confirmed his death.
Meanwhile, District Development Advisory Committee chairman Ubaidur Rehman on Saturday inaugurated the Musaabad Bypass project. The project, which is expected to cost Rs12 billion, aims to reduce traffic congestion and ensure smoother mobility for the local population.
Speaking at the event, MPA Rehman said that the government was committed to spreading development to every corner of Lower Dir. `The bypass is a significant step toward easing the lives of local residents,` he said, adding the journey of development would continue. Correspondent
