10 alleged drug peddlers arrested

TAXILA: Police arrested 10 alleged drug peddlers across the Attock district on Saturday, a police spokesman said.
Three women allegedly working for an inter-city narcotics supply racket were reportedly among those arrested, he said.
Over 10 kilograms of contraband were seized from them, the police spokesman added.
He said that during the crackdown, Pindigheb police busted a network of three women drug suppliers and recovered contraband from their possession.
He also said that over 5 kilograms of hashish were recovered from the three individuals.
The Jand police seized 2.99 kilograms of hashish from two suspects.
Attock City, New Airport and Fatehjang police also recovereddrugs.
Meanwhile, Hassanabdal police recovered 0.52 kilograms of hashish from an individual, and the Rango police recovered 0.60 kilograms from another suspect.
Separate cases were registered against the suspects under the Control of Narcotics Act, and police launchedfurtherinvestigations.
Separately, police in different parts of Attock arrested two proclaimed offenders wanted in separate cases.
They had been declared proclaimed offenders (POs) by the various courts.
The police spokesman said that Fatehjang police arrested an accused, who had been absconding for the last four years in an attempted murder case.
On the other hand, the Attock City police team arrested a suspect wanted in a cheque dishonour case.
