Security plan for Ramazan

LAHORE: Capital City Police Officer retired Capt Amin Wains has said the police will provide foolproof security cover to the people at religious places during Ramazan.

Presiding over a meeting to review security arrangements for the holy month at the Police Lines in Qila Gujjar Singh here on Wednesday, the CCPO called upon religious leaders to cooperate with police to maintain peace and harmony.

Mr Wains said there would be a three-layer security around religious places during Sehr, Iftar and Taraveeh prayers while additional police force would be deployed around mosques and imambargahs for proper checking.

He ordered all superintendents of police (SPs)and divisional SPs to personally check police deployment at mosques, imambargahs, churches and big business centers in their respective jurisdiction.

The police would continue search operations against the suspected elements in the city, he said.

The field officers were directed to use metal detectors for physical checking around sensitive places while snap-checking would be intensified at all entry and exit points of the provincial metropolis.

TRANSFERRED: Inspector General of Police Mushtaq Sukhera has issued transfer and posting orders of two senior lady police of ficers.

According to a notification issued on Wednesday, Khushab Investigation SP Sadaf Fatima has been transferred and posted as Nankana Sahib Investigations SP.

Fahmida Yasmeen, awaiting posting, has been transferred and posted as Narowal Investigations SP against an existing vacancies.
