LAHORE: The Pakistan People`s Pany has demanded early adjudication of the cases against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan.
Speaking at a press conference here on Monday, PPP central information secretary Chaudhry Manzoor demanded that as the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) in the Panama Leaks case has submitted its repon with the Supreme Court the judiciary must not delay now adjudication of the same.
Similarly, he said the PTl chief`s (foreign funding) case must also be heard on priority basis and that both the cases should be decided on merit in line with the Constitution and law of the land and not to the whims of someone.
The PPP leaders recalled that various alliances were formed against the party in the past and they all `went to dustbin of history` as the time proved the PPP was the only party having representation in all the federating units.
He said the PPP win in Karachi and Gilgit-Baltistan by-polls is an eye-opener for those who thought the party stood decimated. He said the PTl had made tall claims about its victory in the by-polls but its candidate could secure only the fouhh position in PS-114.
Later, PPP workers celebrated the by-polls win by offering sweets to each other at the party`s Punjab offices.
