LAHOR E, Sept 10: A telecom company in Gulberg on Tuesday accused the police of raiding its premises despite the fact that the two men whose arrest the police were seeking had secured pre-emptive bail. The police denied having made the raid.
The FIR was lodged against the chief executive and chief officer of the company by a BTS towers contractor.
The contractor alleged in the FIR that he had supplied the towers to the company in 2004 but the two officials had stopped payment of Rs320 million. The case was lodged under section 406 of the PPC a week ago.
A telecom company employee said the police team conducted three raids despite the fact that the accused officials had been granted pre-arrest balls.
He said the investigation in-charge and his team had taken away some costly gadgets from the telecom offices besides harassing the staff.
When contacted, the investigation in-charge confirmed that the accused were on pre-arrest bails but denied the allegation of raids and harassment.
He told Dawn the complainant had alleged that he had been visiting the offices of the company to get payment but the officials nominated used delay tactics.
He said the complainant had also provided details of the agreement signed between him and the company. The police official said the telecom company had also issued some cheques to the complainant.
