PROBE ORDERED: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday ordered the district and sessions judge to probe into the killing of five people by police allegedly in an en-counter at the behest of a parliamentarian.
According to the LHC media cell, the high court took notice of a news item that Muhammad Aamir, the paternal cousin of deceased Malik Tanveer of Kasur, said a CIA DSP came to their village with his force and took away Tanveer, Mohsin Iqbal and brothers Imran and Irfan by saying that Tanveer was in contact with one Babar alias Babri who was involved in extortions and kidnap-for-ransom cases.
He said the DSP told Tanveer`s family that they were taking him just for interrogation and would release him in a day.Amir said 23-year-old Tanveer knew Babar and Irfan for years as they were residents of nearby villages.
He alleged that the CIA police killed the youth only to please a ruling party MNA belonging to Kasur who had developed rivalry with Babar.
