DADU: Three persons riding a motorcycle were knocked down by a container-mounted long vehicle on near Bhan Syedabad town on Sunday.

Police said that the motorcycle was hit by the trailer (registration no. ILA 217) coming from the opposite side near the RBOD-Il bridge on Bhan Syedabad-Sehwan section of Indus Highway.

The police said that the victims were heading towards Bhan Syedabad from Wahur town. All the victims, Ahmed, Yousuf and Ibrahim Khushik, died on the spot after coming under the wheels of the long vehicle, they added. The bodies were handed over to the heirs.

The trailer driver escaped from the scene leaving behind the vehicle, which was impounded, the police said.
