Drug recovery case against Rana Sana adjourned

2022-09-11
LAHORE: A special court (Control of Narcotics Substance) on Saturday adjourned the hearing of a drug recovery case against Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan till Oct 15.

The minister did not attend the hearing, and sought a one-time exemption from personal appearance by filing an application through his counsel.

The counsel, Advocate Farhad Ali Shah, told the court the interior minister was busy in a cabinet meeting on flood relief programmes, while the secretary general of United Nations was also in the country to visit the flood-hit areas.

The court allowed the application and adjourned the hearing.

The court also asked the defence counsel to conclude his arguments on the next hearing against the challan presented by the Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) and freezing of the assets owned by Rana Sana.—Staff Reporter
