Surgeons delegation calls on governor

LAHORE: Royal Australian College of Surgeons President Prof Michel J Hollands along with a delegation of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) met Governor Malik R afique Rajwana on Monday.

CPSP senior vice president Prof Khalid Masood Gondal and National Residency Program Director Prof Mahmood Ayyaz were also in the delegation, accordingto apressrelease.

While talking to the governor, Dr Hollands praised the teaching and training system of the CPSP andcommended its transparent examination system.

He said the Advance Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) programmes were mandatory in Canada, Australia and America and in the developed world.

He said with the implementation of these courses in Pakistan, the standard of medical treatment/facilities would enhance.

The governor hailed the efforts of the CPSP in the medical education field saying that there was room for betterment in every system.

He assured the CPSP delegation of assistance.
