OKARA: The total 250 students of the school of nursing are deprived of their monthly stipend for the last four months.
They included trainee nurses, lady health visitors (LHVs) and midwifery students. The sources said the Directorate General of Nursing at Lahore, despite the allocation of special budget, was not takingnotice of the repeated reminders sent by the school. The students and trainee nurses, LHVs and midwifery students demanded Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the provincial health department and the DG nursing to release the monthly stipend as a majority of them could not afford their expenditures.
