Over 56pc fail in HSSC Part-I exam

RAWALPINDI: Over 56 per cent of students failed in the intermediate Part-I annual examination 2022 held under the Board of Intermediateand Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi.
The overall pass percentage of female students remained 50.74 and that of male students 33.09.
The BISE on Tuesday announced the result of the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) annual examinationPart-I 2022.
According to RBISE Chairman Mohammad Adnan Khan, out of a total of 65,400 enrolled candidates, 63,892 students 38,267 females and 25,625 males appearedin the exam.
There were 58,843 were regular and 5,049 private students.
He said 27,896 candidates passed the exam with 43.66 being the overall pass percentage. A total of 35,848 candidates failed while 1,500 students remained absent.
He said a new examination system would be introduced from the next annual exam with an aim to provide modern facilities to the students. He said the BISE would further tighten the monitoring system of examinations.
