`US wants to derail talks`

DAGGAR, Nov 10: Jamaat-i-Islami general secretary Liaquat Baloch has said that the US always hatched conspiracies to derail peace process in Pakistan.

He was speaking at the concluding session of a two-day workers` convention held at the Markaz-i-Islami in Swari here on Sunday.

Mr Baloch said that the US never supported peace process in the country and always hatched conspiracies to destabilise Pakistan.

The only option for the government was todevise a strategy against drone strikes and IMF and WB conditions, he suggested.

Mr Baloch said the US and India supported Taliban who were bent upon destabilising the country and portraying a negative image of Islam and Muslims.

JI provincial president Professor Ibrahim, Maulana Ismail, Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, provincial minister for Zakat Habibur Rehman Khan, district president Mohammad Hanif and others also were in attendance.Correspondent
