Crashlanding of plane

2015-11-11
THE crashlanding of a private passenger plane at the Lahore runway that resulted in severe damage to the carrier and panic among passengers raises many questions about the proficiency of pilots and airlines fitness.

Was the crashlanding owing to some technical reasons which emerged suddenly at the time of landing? Were the pilot and co-pilot physically fit and had no mental stress during the flight? Did the pilot complete the required flying hours as prescribed under the rules of IATA/CAA? Was the fitness certificate of the carrier issued before the flight by the flight engineering department? CAA authorities should make a thorough inquiry into the matter and make it public as there should be no compromise on the safety of passengers.
