THE billing by Karachi`s power supply company has been on the higher side for the last three months. This malces consumers wonder whether there has been an increase in tariff sans an announcement.
It is surprising that the tariff controlling authority, Nepra has also taken no notice of this anomaly.
The increase in billing is despite the fact that there has been a continuous reduction in world oil prices.
Will some responsible official in the government please explain this unprecedented increase and how and why it was allowed, and that too without an announcement? I appeal to the prime minister and the supreme judiciary to take notice of this grave issue.
