KARACHI: The Rangers informed on Tuesday the administrative judge of the antiterrorism courts about 90-day preventive detention of a suspect for questioning.

The paramilitary soldiers produced Imran Hameed Qureshi, said to be an activist of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, before administrative judge Justice Naimatullah Phulpoto.

They submitted that he was picked up in a raid conducted on a tip-off in New Karachi and placed under preventive detention for an inquiry since they have credible information against him for his alleged involvement in targeted killing.-Staff Reporter
