SHC seeks report on charge sheet in kidnap case

K ARACHI: The Sindh High Court on Tuesday expressed displeasure over an inordinate delay in the kidnapping case of a 15-year-old girl and directed the district and sessions judge east to file a report regarding the non-submission of final charge-sheets in two separate cases againstthe accused.

Headed by Justice Naimatullah Phulphoto, a two-judge bench was hearing the petition of the victim girl`s mother, a housemaid, living in a shantytown within the jurisdiction of the PIB police station.

The woman impleaded the judicial magistrate of the trial court as respondent stating that he had not been accept-ing final charge-sheets in the cases against the accused for the past eight months.

Petitioner Murtaza Begum stated thatherteenage daughter,alsoahousemaid, was going to her workplace on July 13, 2014 when accused Bashir and Fatima along with other accomplices kidnapped her.

She said that the accused assaulted her daughter for three months and later she was recovered from the house of the accused in PIB Colony.

The court directed for a report regarding the non-submission of the charge-sheets in the cases against the accused within three weeks.

The hearing was adjourned to a date to be later pronounced by the court`s office.
