VE H A RI: The district police claim to have arrested three robbers involved in a murder after one year of the incident.

DPO Sadiq Ali Dogar told a press conference on Tuesday that Sajjad Javed, son of Lahore`s Punjab Cooperative Society resident Rana Javed Iqbal, along with Waleed Arshad and Imran (of Vehari), hired a carry van from Khanewal Chowk on Nov 1 last year from Muhammad Mustafa, a retired army official. Just two days ago, police handed over the body of the deceased to his family and he was laid to rest. A police team led by Sadd ar DSP Nasrullah Warraich traced the gangsters and arrested them, also recovering the vehicle they had driven away af ter killing the driver.

The DPO said one of the arrested persons (Sajjad) was the son of a protocol officer at the LHC and all three of them had confessed to crime. Correspondent
