Another three Indian `undercover operatives` leave Islamabad

RAWALPINDI: Another batch of three officials of the Indian high commission in Islamabad, who have been accused of working as undercover intelligence operatives, lef t Islamabad for their home country on Thursday.

The process of withdrawal of eight alleged undercover operatives posted in the Indian high commission started on Tuesday when three of them leftthe federal capital.

The three Indian of ficials, who took the Emirates Airline flight EK-615 to their country via Dubai on Thursday, were identified as Balbir Singh (first secretary), Ramesh Kumar Agnihotri (commercial counsellor) and Jayabalan Senthil (assistant personnel welfare of ficer).

Those who left Islamabad on Tuesday were Anurag Singh (first secretary), Vijay Kumar Verma and Madhavan Nanda Kumar (visaassistants).

The Pakistan government said that the eight Indians were undercover operatives of their country`s intelligence agency RAW and involved in subversive activities, including attempts to disrupt the ChinaPakistan Economic Corridor project.

They were also accused of creating fear and chaos in the country, building a network of informants within Pakistan and fabricating evidence for tarnishing Pakistan`s image abroad.
