Senior citizen NIC

2016-11-11
APROPOS my letter, `NADRA and Home Office` (Oct 22), I want to thank the authorities concerned, as my son received his CNIC earlier this week. But my CNIChas still not been released. When I inquired about my ID card, the Karachi NADR A head office replied that they had not received it in the 61 cases released by the home office recently.

I want to ask the interior minister, what harm possibly can a 62-year-old woman do to this country. All around the world senior citizens are respected and given priority. Is it not enough that I have already provided them with my original CNIC and Pakistani nationality? What benefit can this country reap by restraining a senior citizen from travelling? I surrendered my nationality for this country in 1983 and have lived here ever since peacefully. My three children and husband are all tax payers. Why should a 62-year old woman suffer for months because the home office is unable to verify their records? Mrs Saeeda Hasan NIC:42101-7960883-8 Karachi
