2016-11-11
NOWSHERA: ANP provincial president Ameer Haider Khan Hoti on Thursday said the ruling PTI had miserably failed to fulfil its election promises of good governance and people`s welfare in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and was even struggling to pay salary to government employees.

Mr. Hoti told a public meeting in Risalpur here that his party would form the next government in the province after winning general elections.

He said the PTI government had failed to launch even a single mega development project in the province to the misery of the people. The ANP leader said before elec-tions, the PTI had promised elimination of corruption from government departments within three months of coming to power but instead, the incidence of corrupt practices in the province had surged since Imran Khan`s party formed government more than three years ago.

He said the PTI leadershad deceived the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by shouting attractive slogans but the latter had realised the reality of those slogans after seeing the performance of the provincial government.

Mr. Hoti said the PTI government was meeting its expenses by using its employees` GP funds and selling own land at throwaway rates.

He demanded the government announce special relief package for the families of the people, who died in a recent road accident in Mesri Banda area.

Meanwhile, the National Labour Federation on Thursday blocked the GT Road against the removal of its 144 worl(ers by the Pakistan Tobacco Company.

The protesters later gathered at Shobera Chowk and shouted slogans against the administration.

Tehsil council member Haji Inayatur Rehman, Insaf Labour wing provincial president Tahir Khan and railway union leader Mehr Ali Shah, who led protesters, said removal of 144 workers from the PTC was an unjust act.

They warned they would stage a sit-in against the PTC in Akora Khattak if employees weren`t restored by Nov 15.
