SHANGLA: Awami National Party provincial president Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has said that the present assemblies should complete their term to strengthen democratic system in the country.
He was talking to mediapersons at Tetwalan area here on Friday.
He visited the residence of provincial secretary agriculture department Aurangzeb Khan to offer condolences on the demise of his elder brother, Akbar Khan.
The ANP leader said that the present provincial government was in deep financial crisis.
`For hiding his government`s failure, PTI chief Imran Khan is demanding early elections. The present assemblies should complete their term for the sake of strengthening democratic system inthe country,` said Mr Hoti.
He said that negotiations were being held for electoral alliance with other parties for the upcoming general elections.
`The recent NA-4, Peshawar by-election showed that PTPs vote bank had shrunk but the party retained the seat by using government machinery and resources in the election,` he said and added that if free and fair elections were held, ANP would form the next government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
ANP Shangla leaders Haji Sadeed-urRehman, Haji Ayub and others were also present on the occasion.
Mr Hoti claimed that Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and PTI ministers and lawmakers were not in favour of assemblies` dissolution and early election.Correspondent
