TEHRAN: At least five members of Iran`s security forces were killed on Sunday in a `terror attack` in the country`s restive southeast, local media said.

`Following the terror attack in Saravan county, in the south of the Sistan-Baluchistan province, five members of the security forces were killed,` news agency Fars said.

The Jaish al-Adl (`Army of Justice` in Arabic) has intensified attacks in the restive province. The organisation is listed as a `terrorist` group by Iran and also by the United States.

Impoverished Sistan-Baluchistan province, which also borders Afghanistan, is one of the few mainly Sunni provinces in Shia-dominated Iran.-Agencies
