LAHORE: Senior PPP leader Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan said on Monday the government of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf should be given some time to set its direction.

Talking to the media at the Lahore High Court, Mr Ahsan said setting 100-day deadline for a government`s performance was a concept of presidential system.

`This theory does not exist in the parliamentary system of governance,` he said adding the PTI should not have imposed the 100day plan upon itself to analyse its performance.

He said the president enjoyed unlimited powers in presidential system while in other system the parliament made all decisions.
