I WOULD like to draw the attention of relevant authorities to the poor sanitary conditions in Multan`s Qadeerabad mohallah. Streets have not been swept for weeks leading to garbage pile-up that has now blocked the drainage system, causing refuse to overflow gutters.
This situation has caused roads to deteriorate, contributed to great inconvenience to commuters, especially pedestrians, and is causing the spread of many preventable diseases. There is now an outbreak of malaria in the area, and we fear the spread of dengue and cholera as well. The authorities concerned should immediately do the needful.
