THE government has banned Basant celebration because it led to many deaths when people fell of f their roof tops, or met with accidents on roads while trying to catch kites.
I agree this is understandable, but somehow we still need the joy for the start of the New Year. The government should allot a day to the people for Basant and kite-festival mainly on Sundays when people have their of fs and when no one should be allowed to travel by road. The kite-flying should be away from towns and cities while at night bonfires and parties should be allowed. The government should fix hours for kite-flying.
