The facilities in schools are inadequate and unsatisfactory. There are hardly any chairs, even for teachers, in most schools. Lack of sanitation and the absence of potable water are mere parts of school life in rural Sindh.

Reports indicate that about 400 dengue and as many malaria tests came out positive in recent months. At least five people have ost their life to dengue. The authorities concerned need to take serious steps to control the spread of dengue and malaria.
