Rs88.6m for revamp of LGH nursing college, hostel

LAHORE: The Punjab government has released Rs88.6 million funds for the reconstruction and repairs of the nursing college and hostel of Amir ud Din Medical College/Lahore General Hospital (LGH).

Of the released amount, Rs76m will be spent on nursing hostels and Rs12.6m on the college.

LGH head Prof Al-Fareed Zafar said this while talking to nursing instructors and students during his visit to the nursing college. Nursing college Principal Ms Maimoona Sattar was also present.

Prof Zafar said the nursing college and hostel buildings of LGH were constructed in 1962 and funds were urgently needed for the reconstruction of these more than half a century old structures to modernise them.
