HISTORY says that the rights of poor and helpless people are always trampled. Look at the feudal system which continuously treads people`s rights.
When rights are not provided to deserving people, they start protesting and soon it takes the form of a revolution.
It is a well-known fact that there is a lot of coal in Thar which is being mined. Under the coal and gas project, Thar is likely to be on the way to progress. Then why are the people of Thar protesting? Because they are not being given their rights, including employment and basic facilities.
People are alsoprotestingbecause a dam is being constructed near Guranovillage. They will be displaced as a consequence of this.
I hope that the government would do what is best for the region.
