TAXILA: National University of Medical Sciences (Nums) Vice Chancellor retired Lt Gen Wasim Alamgir on Monday said it was the moral responsibility of students to serve their country after completing their education.
He was speaking at the 12th convocation of Wah Medical College as chief guest. He congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to uphold the noble traditions of their profession and serve humanity to the best of their abilities. He said advanced research in the health and education sectors was important to curing the ailing humanity, advising medical graduates to focus on their studies through research work.
`Healthcare professionals are considered respectable in society due to their professional competence; therefore, spiritual peace they get through the service of suffering humanity is invaluable,` he said.
He said the convocation marks the beginning of graduates` practical lives and urged them to use their knowledge for the betterment of the community and nation while upholding ethical standards. Correspondent
