Body of missing trader found in a sack

SAHlWAL: The body of a trader, who had gone missing on Sunday night, was found in a sack near Sadu Piplee village in Pakpattan tehsil on Monday.
As per police sources, Adil Rafiq (55), who ran a grocery store at Farid Nagar Chowk, last contacted his family on Sunday evening.
However, when he did not return home till late in the night, his family members got worried and contacted his close friends, but to no avail. The trader`s mobile phone was not responding.
Afzal Jatoi, SHO of Farid nagar police station says that on the complaint of Adil`s eldest son Abdullah, a kidnap FIR was filed against unidentified persons under section 365 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
On Monday morning, local traders, Adil`s family members and relatives staged a demo for his recovery on Kuchehri Road.
However, in the evening some locals found an unidentified body packed in a sack near Sadu Piplee village, 7km away from Pakpattan city, and informed the police. The body was later identified as Adil`s, the SHO said.
Police collected forensic evidence and later shifted the body to hospital for an autopsy.
