MOHMAND: The police arrested nine young men after a video went viral on social media, in which they allegedly made fun of Taraweeh prayers in Shanikhel and Sangar areas of Halimzai tehsil here.

District police officer Ikramullah Khan took notice of the incident on public complaints and assigned the task of arresting the accused to DSP circle Ghalanai Jan Mohammad Khan.

Additional SHO Munsif Khan and ASI Shaukat Khan along with a police team took timely action and arrested nine suspects.

A Kalashnikov with cartridges was also recovered from the possession of the arrested persons. Correspondent
