LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday disposed of a petition after details of 32 cases registered against PTI President Parvez Elahi were furnished by the police.

Mr Elahi had filed the petition, seeking details of the cases registered against him by the Punjab Police.

During the hearing, a Punjab government`s lawyer presented details of 32 cases filed against the petitioner.

According to the report, 15 cases of violence, including thoserelated to the May 9 riots, have been registered against Mr Elahi in Lahore. It said investigations were underway in 13 cases of May 9 events.

The report also stated thatfour caseshadbeen registered against the petitioner in Faisalabad and one each in Attock and Gujranwala.

Furthermore, 11 cases related to May 9 protests had been registered against him in Rawalpindi.

In light of the police report, Justice Tariq Nadeem disposed of the petition, observing that the required details had been furnished by the government.
