GUJRANWALA: The Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry has expressed concern over gas shortage and its high price.

GCCI President Saeed Ahmed Taj told the media on Tuesday that industries in Punjab were made to pay 60 per cent more for Sui gas than other provinces.

He said the ceramics industry based in Gujranwala had been badly affected by shortage and high price. He said the situation wasadding to joblessness due to closure of certain units FIA: The Federal Investigation Agency, Gujranwala circle, has arrested eight proclaimed offenders involved in human trafficking.

FIA Deputy Director Khalid Anees told Dawn that the agency teams arrested Muhammad Imran, Nadeem and Kashif Butt from Sialkot, Muhammad Afzal and Munir Ahmed from Gujranwala, Jamshed and Anser from Wazirabad and Muhammad Tufail from Kamoki.
