THE government has introduced a Nizam-i-Salaat for unified Azan and prayer timings in the federal capital. The system has been implemented from May 1 and a calendar for the whole year has been devised.
It is a good step that gives a message of religious harmony. Various religious sects have shown flexibility to adjust Azan timings. This is heartening and augurs well for promoting religious tolerance.
