THE decision by the Punjab government to change police uniform, which seems to be more in line with f ashion and weather conditions, is just like old wine in a new bottle.
The implementation of wearing this olive green uniform has initially begun from Lahore, while it will be implemented throughout the province by October.
Keeping in view the alarming crime rate in the province, the government should focus more on police reforms rather than on uniform in order to improve law and order in Punjab.
It is hoped that the government will reconsider its priorities as nothing is more important than the lives and properties of the public.
