`Medical camp at cattle market treated over 200 animals`

RAWALPINDI: Punjab Livestock department has treated more than 200 animals suffering from different diseases at Bhatta Chowk cattle market.
The livestock staff had established medical camps in cattle markets in Rawalpindi where its staff is working in three shifts.
Commissioner Aamir Khattak directed deputy commissioners to pay special attention to the SOPs issued by the local government regarding establishment and inspection of cattle market.
Deputy commissioners should ensure that their assistant commissioners visit sale points and markets on daily basis and resolve problems or complaints arising there immediately.
He directed that thereshould be no traffic jams due to cattle markets and no illegal cattle markets should be set up. If there is any illegal market, strict action will be taken against the administrative officers of that area.
He said that the DCs should impose Section 144 and take legal action against those who violate it.
He further said that price magistrates should be more active in the field to moderate the prices of food items on the occasion of Eidul Azha and ensure availability of Naan and Roti at fixed rates.
The review meeting of the divisional coordination committee held at the commissioner`s office Rawalpindi was attended by concerned officials in person whereas Deputy Commissioner Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal and Murree participated through video link.
