MIRPURKHAS: The district administration will stop livestock traders from shif ting cattle market from Jhuddo taluka to Tando Bago taluka by deploying police in the town., says Usman Mehsud, additional deputy commissioner of Mirpurkhas-1.

Mr Mehsud told Dawn on Friday that the district administration would ensure the cattle market was held at its original place in Jhuddo taluka.

The administration would properly auction contractfor the cattle market and award it to the highest bidder to foil cattle market mafia`s conspiracy, he said.

As the officials of Jhuddo town committee failed to auction the contract for cattle market in time it gave a pretext to cattle traders` mafia to shift it to Tando Bago in connivance with officials, said sources.

But the administration had now taken notice of unofficial shifting of the cattle market and decided to take action against the persons involve d in the illegal practice, said the sources.
