Curfew imposed in Tank`s Jandola subdivision

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Tank deputy commissioner Tanveer Khan imposed curfew in the Jandola subdivision for Saturday from 6am to 7pm.

The measure has been taken due to prevailing security concerns and to ensure the safety and stability of the region duringthe ongoing operations,accordingto a notification issued on Friday.

According to the district administration, all forms of public movement will be strictly prohibited throughout the curfew duration.

Markets, shops, and all commercial activities will remain closed, and law enforcement agencies will maintain a heavy presence in and around the affected areas to enforce restrictions.

The curfew will specifically cover Jandola Bazaar and all connecting routes leading from Jandola to Upper South Waziristan.

These include all major and minor entry points, link roads, and internal passageways used for travel between Jandola and the surrounding hilly regions.

The movement of individuals, vehicles, and goods on these roads will remain strictly prohibited throughout the curfew hours, and checkpoints will be established to monitor and enforce compliance.

The deputy commissioner clarified that only emergency travel will be permitted during this period and that too under special circumstances, requiring prior permission from police or security forces.

In such cases, citizens must submit their original CNIC and relevant travel documents for verification before being allowed to proceed.

The administration has urged residents to remain indoors, avoid unnecessary travel, and fully cooperate with law enforcement during the curfew hours.

These precautionary steps are part ofbroader efforts to maintain peace and thwart any potential threats in the sensitive border regions of southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
