RAWALPINDI, Oct 11: A division bench of Lahore High Court on Tuesday disposed of a petition filed by the counsel for seven suspects in the Mumbai attack case against the constitution of a judicial commission to visit India and record the statements of witnesses there.
The bench, comprising Justice Sheikh Ahmed Farooq and Justice Mazahir Ali Naqvi, took the decision after the counsel did not press the petition and withdrew it.
The petition was filed by Khawaja Sultan Advocate, the counsel for banned Lashkar-i-Taiba commander Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi and others.
ATC judge Shahid Rafique had earlier rejected the objections against formation of the commission.
