LAHORE: The Judicial Commission (JC) on Saturday approved one-year extension in probation period of six additional judges of the Lahore High Court instead of confirming them.

Headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Nasirul Mulk, the JC took the decision in its meeting held at the Lahore registry of the Supreme Court.

The judges given extension in their probation period include Justice Mahmood Ahmad Bhatti, Justice ArshadMahmoodTabassum, Justice Muhammad Tariq Abbasi, Justice Ch.

Muhammad Masood Jahangir, Justice Sadagat Ali Khan and Justice M.

Sohail Iqbal Bhatti. They were appointed as additional judges on Oct 29, 2013, for a period of one year.
