Gunmen take away Rsl.7m in four hits

LAHORE: Gunmen struck four times in the city on Saturday taking away cash and valuables worth Rs1.7 million and leaving a man injured on resistance, police said.

Two gunmen held police constable Tabasum Naseer and his family in the Model Town police jurisdiction, snatched cash, jewelry and mobile phones worth Rs700,000 and shot at and injured him on resistance.

Two gunmen stormed into the house of Aamir Saleem in the Islampura police jurisdiction and took away cash, jewelry worth Rs550,000.

Three gunmen held Asif, of Jubilee Town, in the Gulberg police jurisdiction and snatched Rs200,000 from him.

Some gunmen broke into the house of Asif in the Factory Area police jurisdiction and looted cash, jewelry worth Rs300,000.
