KHAIRPUR: Security personnel manhandled Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf student wing leader Waheed Rind on Wednesday and refused to allow him to drive through Shah Abdul Latif University premises on his motorcycle, triggering a brawl between students and security staff.

Sources said the security staff allowed a guest who came to meet Faiz Mohammad Phulpoto, president of SALU Employees’ Welfare Association, to drive through the university gate on a motorcycle. But when SALU PTI president Waheed Rind came after him he was stopped at the gate and not allowed to bring his motorcycle into the campus, sparking a brawl between the student and security personnel.
