LAYYA H: A three-day workshop to sensitise both the public and privates sectors regarding the significance of protection against harassment of women at workplace began at the TMA Hall on Tuesday.

Women in Struggle Empowerment Executive (Wise) Director Bushra Khalique presided over the workshop while District Officer of Social Welfare Rana Shahid was the guest of honour. The workshop is being organised by Wise and the Punjab ombudsperson.

Ms Khalique stressed the need for the strict implementation of Protection against Harassment of Women at Workplace Act with maximum participation of women so that workplaces could be made safe for them.

She said the worl(shop aimed at sensitising both the public and private sectors for raising awareness about the significance of the Act to boost the meaningful and productive participation of women. She also visited banl(s and other offices in the city and met with the heads urging them to implement the Act. Correspondent
