T HIS is apropos the report `Drug inspectors allow sale of fake medicines` (Oct 17). The special branch of police deserves appreciation for pointing out the corrupt drug inspectors in Punjab.

This report is a damning indictment of the Punjab government`s lackadaisical attitude towards real issues that ail this beleaguered nation. More disturbing is the f act that government of ficials can stoop to any level to make quick bucks and they think they will get away with whatever they do.
