Fareed`s hat-trick sinks SHC Greens

KARACHI: All-rounder Fareed Shah grabbed a hattrick while inspiring Thunder Wolves to a clinical ninewicket rout of SHC Greens during league-round tie in the first Sindh High Court Independence Day Cup T20 Colour-kit Tournament here on Sunday.

Opting to bat first at the UBL Sports Complex, SHC Greens who had gone into this fixture on the back of three straight victories were shot out for just 88 in 18.3 overs.

Bowling off-break, Fareed dismissed Sajid Pechuho, Asad Abbasi and Asghar Raza on successive deliveries to complete his hat-trick on way to final analysis of 5-14.

Thunder Wolves, who are in running for semi-finals, knocked off the modest target in just 5.3 overs on the back of an unbroken second-wicket stand of 59 between Mohammad Waqas (29) and man-of-thematch Fareed (36).
