THE insensitive use of loudspeakers has become a big nuisance in our cities. The most annoying part is that loudspeakers have become an integral part of almost all celebrations.
The people have come to a point where they feel that even private occasions like marriages and birthday parties are incomplete without blaring loudspeakers.
Noise pollution is already one of the major problems people in the cities have to deal with. The excessive and thoughtless use of loudspeakers makes the problem worse.
The worst hit by the improper use of loudspeakers are the elderly and the children. Due to the excessive noise, the sleep of the elderly is disturbed while school children and college students can`t concentrate on their studies.
It is high time the authorities did something to regulate the use of loudspeakers.
