LAHORE: The first two-day workshop on CSSD and patients safety, friendly hospital began at the Lahore General Hospital on Wednesday.

Postgraduate Medical Institute and Ameeruddin Medical College Principal Prof Dr Sardar Muhammad Al-Fareed Zafar was the patron-inchief while senior professors from different hospitals were among the speakers who expressed their views on the importance of cleanliness and hygienic atmosphere in hospitals.

The PGMI principal stressed that CSSD had a central importance like heart in any hospital as infection control played apivotal role in controlling diseases in any hospital and no compromise could be made onit.Prof Muhammad Al-Fareed Zafar expressed satisfaction over the fact that the General Hospital had fulfilled all requirements of the Health Care Commission and attained the cleanliness award from the international agency.

He said the workshop would play an important role to aware doctors and paramedical staf f about the patient-friendly atmosphere in hospitals.

Professors from Shaukat Khanum Hospital and Health Care Commission chief operating officer also expressed their views. APP
