RAWALPINDI: In one of the biggest robberies in the city, a family was robbed of gold jewellery worth Rs11.2 million, Euros 24,000, Rs7.5 million, costly watches,mobile phones and US dollars by three armed men in Morgah on Saturday night.

Chaudhry Aurangzeb, a resident of Morgah village, lodged an FIR with the police stating that he and his family were asleep when three per-sons entered his house after overpowering his security guard and made the inmates hostage at gunpoint.

He said the robbers searched each and every room along with cupboards and drawers and looted Rs7.5 million, Euros 24,000, $500,80 tola gold jewellery, 10 wrist watches and other valuables as well as property documents.

The complainant said the robbers threatened him of dire consequences if the incident was reported to the police.
